I was Alex’s first customer when he open up the shop one thing I can tell you it is very hard to find a mechanic that is reliable and trustworthy and respect. The customers needs this shop is above and beyond and should be rated number one in Schenectady, honest truth, I’ve been so many shops and work for both cities of Albany, and Schenectady when I tell you, this is the most reliable shop and respectful and honest shot there is on the price and communication Alex the owner is worthy of a couple of awards for making customers cars safety to be back on the road. Ss customs is one of a kind and I’ll community.

I had a great experience at SS Alex Custom Auto Repair. I went in to get my brakes, rotors, and oil changed, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Alex was professional, honest, and took the time to explain what needed to be done without trying to upsell anything unnecessary. The work was done quickly, and my car feels great now. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but Alex definitely earned my business going forward. Highly recommend if you’re looking for reliable and quality auto repair

I had a really good experience here and would definitely recommend them. I’ll be honest — I’m usually not very comfortable going to mechanics because I always worry about being overcharged or sold things I don’t actually need. Because of that, I’m usually pretty skeptical when it comes to car repairs. That said, Alex was great to work with and made the whole experience a lot easier. I brought in my 2019 Kia Optima for an EVAP issue, and they were able to properly diagnose the problem and take care of everything thoroughly. They replaced the filler neck assembly, purge valve, completed my rear brakes and rotors, and also did a full synthetic oil change. What stood out most was how honest and straightforward Alex was throughout the process. He took the time to explain what was wrong, showed me the parts, and made me feel a lot more comfortable with the repairs being done. That kind of transparency really means a lot, especially when you’re already nervous about bringing your car in. Overall, the service was professional, helpful, and easy to work with. My car is running well, and I really appreciate the communication and quality of the work. Thank you again to Alex and the team.
